Each phone is an extension with the ability to hold multiple lines. Origen also has the ability to create extensions without a phone attached to it. This feature is useful for reps that work on road, allowing them to be part of the company’s extension set and receive calls on their mobile phones or directly to a voicemail.

The IVR is a hosted on our Servers. This means that regardless of the physical state of the phones the IVR is completely independent and always reliable.
If in the event your phones are not in a working state. Within two minutes of your extension going offline, the IRV will acknowledge this and route your calls to a failback number based on their intended destination of the menu options.
Standard conference calling (AKA. three way calling) can be done from your phone by pressing a few buttons and dialing a number or extension. Unlike traditional phone systems, where conference calling can be a shot in the dark, Origen’s conference calling offers a visual experience on the phones. This virtually eliminates the possibility for error.
Conference rooms are a feature that is hosted on our servers and is independent from the actual phones. Those participating in the conference room that are calling from their Origen system will be assured the best connection and clarity. Conference rooms can have an administrator who can control the overall call from their phones. It is always recommended that administrator be calling from their Origen phones.
As the user you have the option to record all calls, only certain extensions, or a specific call. Full time recording is done on our systems web interface by selecting the record call option. On a call by call basis, it can be done by entering a simple star code. You can have either an announced or unannounced call recording. The calls can then be accessed on your systems web interface or it can be automatically sent to you by email.
As an administrator, you can enter a star code on your handset alone with the extension number and then monitor calls in real time as they are happening.
Origen’s system operates bilingually in both English and French. Your phones can be set up in either language, and within a company you can operate your system bilingually on an extension by extension basis.
This is achieved on the system side but allows the user to operate in the PBX environment and call out or within the system as though they are local.
Music on hold will automatically initiate whenever you place a caller on hold or switch lines. Our phones are programmed to place callers on hold in one simple touch. It has never been easier to manage you calls.
This feature is excellent for sales and service environment. It allows available staff members to answer calls as they are available. All of the selected members are called based on their availability and predefined order as desired.
